Bel Fernandez
I'm Bel Fernández, originally from Argentina, and for the past three years I've been living and working in Los Angeles at Maverink Studio — the space I share with my partner. Before tattooing, I was studying law, until the world of tattoo found me. From the very first tattoo I did, I fell in love with everything: the sensation of working on skin, and the possibility of making my art permanent.
I specialize in delicate tattoos with contrasts — working mainly with blacks, greys and whites. Sometimes color appears in small details that bring each piece to life.
My style is deeply rooted in botany — that universe of flowers, leaves, branches and natural textures that translate into organic lines and soft shadows on skin. Each botanical piece is almost a study of nature: I take the real forms of a plant and reinterpret them with contrasts of deep black and delicate grays that give depth and life.
I don't only tattoo plants and flowers — I love combining them with other elements: mandalas, animals, geometric shapes, or anything that makes each piece unique. I enjoy the challenge of creating something different, mixing worlds that at first glance seem distant but end up telling a powerful story together. What moves me most is seeing each person's face when we finish.
"I love my work and being able to create in people exactly the vision they had."
